Can you picture this land? It truly exists. This section of land is known as the 10/40 Window. The 10/40 Window refers to a rectangular region that spans North Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Asia, situated roughly between 10 degrees and 40 degrees north latitude. Also known as "The Resistant Belt," the 10/40 Window is home to most of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. Over fifty percent of the global population along with a diverse range of people groups, resides within the 10/40 Window. According to the Joshua Project, there are 8,706 distinct people groups living within the 10/40 Window.

The majority of these ethnic groups are considered "unreached" meaning they have no or limited access to the Gospel. Most of the world's unevangelized countries are located within the 10/40 Window. The "unevangelized" are those who have little understanding of the gospel and lack genuine opportunities to respond to it. Although it makes up just one-third of the Earth's total land area, approximately two-thirds of the global population lives within the 10/40 Window. Most followers of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and those who identify as Non-Religious reside within the 10/40 Window. Most of the world's poorest of the poor, can be found in the 10/40 Window. To put it in perspective, a staggering 80% of the absolute poorest people on earth are living in this area. These are the most desperate and destitute people on the globe. On average, each person survives on under a few hundred dollars per year. These unreached people who inhabit the 10/40 Window, numbering in the billions, have not only battled the effects of poverty and disease while also being deprived of the transformative power of the Gospel.

They are the NEVER REACHED!

Most of THE NEVER REACHED are born, live, and die without ever hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel. They've never seen a missionary. There are no Christian radio broadcasts. How can they call on Christ to save them if they have never heard of Him?

Look at that pulpit! It stands silent and empty. There's no one to preach to them. There's not a preacher in sight. There's no missionaries anywhere, not even a single Christian can be found. Most people living within the 10/40 window will be born, live out their life, and die without ever hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel. How will they ever know about Jesus, if no one tells them?

Will You Respond to the Urgent Need for Missionaries in the 10/40 Window? Here's Your Checklist.

How Will They Know?

"After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb." (Revelation 7:9-10 NIV)

Most of THE NEVER REACHED are born, live, and die without ever hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel. They've never seen a missionary. There are no Christian radio broadcasts. How can they call on Christ to save them if they have never heard of Him?

There is a profound calling on the lives of believers—a calling that drives us to act with urgency and passion. We are compelled to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the world, not out of obligation, but out of love, obedience, and a deep understanding of the power of the message we carry. This calling is not just a concept; it is rooted in the commands of Christ, the urgency of the moment, the life-changing transformation it brings, and the undeniable power of salvation for all who believe. These four compelling reasons fuel our mission to spread the gospel and to see lives transformed by the grace of God.

In this short message, we will explore the four powerful motivations that compel us to go, share, and witness the miraculous work of salvation in the lives of those around us and beyond. Let us reflect on these reasons and be reminded of the urgency and responsibility that comes with being His disciples in a world that desperately needs His message of hope.

  1. The first reason we are compelled is because Jesus himself commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). This is not just a suggestion, but a direct command from our Lord and Savior, and we are compelled to obey it out of love and obedience to Him.

  2. The second reason we are compelled to share the Good News is because of the urgency of the task. In John 4:35, Jesus tells his disciples that the fields are white (ripe) for harvest. This reminds us that there are people all around us who are ready to hear the gospel and respond to it, and we must not delay in sharing it with them.

  3. The third reason we are compelled is because of the transformation that comes from hearing and believing the Good News. In Isaiah 61:1-2, we see that the Good News brings freedom, healing, and restoration to those who receive it. This is a powerful motivation for us to share the gospel with others, knowing that it has the power to bring about positive change in their lives.

  4. The forth reason we are compelled to share the Good News is because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes (Romans 1:16). This means that we have a responsibility to share this life-changing message with others so that they too can experience the salvation that comes from believing in Christ.

In conclusion, we are compelled to share the Good News with everyone, everywhere because of the clear command from Jesus, the urgency of the task, the life-changing transformation it brings, and the the power of God for salvation it offers to all who believe. With hearts full of love and obedience, we are called to go, to share, and to witness the miraculous work of salvation in the lives of those around us and around the world. Let us not delay, but be faithful to the mission that God has entrusted to us, knowing that His power is at work through us.

There are 7.75 billion people living in the world today. Of that number, 3.23 billion are considered unreached. An Unreached People Group (UPG) is a people group among which less than two percent are evangelical Christians. Over 7000 UPG's exist in the world today. That's a whopping 41% of the worlds population. Most of these UPG's are in the 10/40 Window. These UPG's have little or no access to the Gospel of Christ.

The Great Commission

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen" (Matthew 28:18-20).

The Great Commission is a Mandate From Christ.

"GO THEREFORE" is not a suggestion (Matthew 28:19).

There are three types of Christians.
Those who passionately go.
Those who passionately send.
And those who disobey.
Which type are you?
