The Mission
The Mission of God
is the Great Commission
The Great Commission can be found in every book of the Bible. "Even before he made the world," (Ephesians 1:4 NLT) God had a plan of redemption in mind for every believer "... from every nation, tribe, people and language..." (Revelation 7:9-10 NIV). (See also Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 24:14, Mark 16:15-16, Acts 1:8). No one can opt out of The Great Commission. You either GO (Mark 16:15) or you SEND (Philippians 1:3-8 NIV), but no one is excluded. Just as the church at Philippi, had a "partnership in the gospel" with Paul, (Philippians 1:5 NIV) we too have a partnership with those who serve Christ abroad in world missions.
Paraphrase: The Great Commission:"So, Get Out There! Hit the Open Road! Spread the Word to Everyone Everywhere! Tell Them That Jesus Loves Them Like Crazy! And Inspire Them to Follow in His Footsteps!"
(Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8)
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." — Mt 28:19-20
for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? — Ro 10:13-14
The command to go and make disciples of all nations is a clear directive from Jesus himself. It is our duty as Christians to spread the Good News of the gospel to everyone we encounter. This means sharing the love of Jesus with others and inspiring them to follow in his footsteps. It's not just about telling people that Jesus loves them, but also showing them through our actions and words. We are called to be ambassadors for Christ, sharing his message of hope and salvation with the world. So, yes, get out there and hit the open road, spreading the word to everyone everywhere, and inspiring them to follow in his footsteps. This is the heart of discipleship and fulfilling the Great Commission. For more about "The Great Commission" see: To The Ends Of The Earth.

16:15-16 is the mission of God. It's a mandate to preach the good news to everyone everywhere. There's no greater mission. It's why we exist.
Imagine living in a land where there are no Bibles to read. No Christians to talk to. No churches to attend. No preachers to hear! No one is trying to reach them! They are, THE NEVER REACHED!
For millions, the
Truth is an extremely dangerous thing to believe. Every 2 hours a
Christian is killed for following Jesus.
1 in 9 Christians worldwide experience high levels of persecution. For them, following Christ costs everything.
